Hospice isn’t about dying. It’s about living with comfort and dignity. It’s about providing our patients — and your loved ones — with the highest quality of life for whatever time remains.
At Vidant Health, we believe that no family should have to face terminal illness or the death of a loved one alone. Our Vidant Home Health and Hospice team provides support for patients and the families of patients with a limited life expectancy. Using a team approach, we work to meet the special physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of our patients and families.
We’re focused on caring, not curing. And we treat the individual, not the disease. Our goal is to help patients live their final days with dignity and as free of pain as possible.
Hospice care takes place in the patient’s home as often as possible. For hospice patients requiring a higher level of care, Vidant Health offers The Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice in Greenville. Inpatient hospice care can also be provided at any of our Vidant Health hospitals in coordination with your home hospice provider.
Vidant Home Health and Hospice provides hospice services in 19 counties of eastern North Carolina with hospice offices in Greenville, Kenansville and Ahoskie and an Inpatient Hospice facility located in Greenville. Registered nurses are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays.
