Keep your child safe as we continue to navigate COVID-19.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we know that the virus’ threat to children is greater now than it has been at any other time during the pandemic. Vidant is here to help and give you the tools you need to keep your family safe. Hear from providers, find information on COVID-19 testing and vaccines, and learn about keeping your child safe in school.
Pediatric COVID-19 testing
To help meet an ever-increasing demand, we are now pleased to offer pediatric, appointment-based COVID-19 testing to the communities we serve. If your child is sick or you’re concerned about an exposure to the virus, please call 252-816-3720 from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday to schedule an appointment.
Please note: For pediatric pre-operative testing, please follow the directions provided when scheduling an appointment.
Consult your pediatrician
We are providing this as another convenient option for parents and families, and encourage you to consult your child’s pediatrician as the primary resource for COVID testing and vaccination needs.
Should you arrange an appointment at Children’s, here is what you need to know: at your scheduled time, please arrive to the front entrance of the James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital. Drive into the circle area, park in a designated testing spot and remain in your car. Upon arrival, remain in your vehicle and follow the details on the signage for next steps. All occupants of the car need to remain masked.
Help stop the spread
Thank you for doing your part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. In addition to testing, masking and maintaining a safe social distance, we encourage everyone who is eligible to get a vaccine. Appointments are available: VidantHealth.com/vaccinate
