Encouraging, equipping and empowering patients and families to achieve whole person health.

Not all diseases are physical. Mental and emotional issues can severely affect all aspects of life and can be just as debilitating as a physical disease. ECU Health has behavioral health clinicians across eastern North Carolina to help tackle issues like depression, anxiety, bi-polar, and schizophrenia as well as other mental illnesses.

We recognize that every person’s circumstances are unique. That’s why we don’t work from a standard treatment plan. After carefully examining each patient’s needs, we develop a highly personalized treatment plan to get patients back to a healthy and productive life.

Under the guidance of physicians, nurses and therapists, we help manage medications, provide counseling, psychological testing, and referrals to other services that can be of benefit.
