The Rehabilitation Center is an accredited, comprehensive rehabilitation center - part of a statewide network - and we're the largest such facility in eastern North Carolina. Our service area covers 29 counties, and we offer an array of rehabilitation services for patients of all ages. Because the Rehabilitation Center is associated with both Vidant Medical Center and the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, patients have access to a full range of state-of-the-art medical services.
A Teaching Facility
The Rehabilitation Center is the area's leading rehabilitation training facility for medical, allied health and nursing students. The residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, instituted in July 1991, was the first such program in North Carolina. It is accredited by The Residency Review Committee of the Accreditation Committee for Residency Programs.
The Rehabilitation Center does not discriminate in its activities or programs, or in admission, access to treatment or employment, on the basis of race, gender, color, national origin, religion, disability or age.
The Center supports and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and strives to make sure people with disabilities have access to its services and facilities.
