Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery

What we do

Ear, nose and throat surgeons at Vidant Medical Center provide emergency and non-emergency care to treat many conditions including:

  • Complicated head and neck cancer
  • Airway obstructions, including for children
  • Fractures to the cheek, jaw and nose
  • Conditions affecting the larynx or voice box and related structures in the throat
  • Paranasal sinus conditions

Procedures include:

  • Cochlear implants to improve hearing, including vibrating bone-anchored hearing aids (BAHA) in children
  • Balloon sinuplasty to treat chronic sinus problems
  • Reconstruction surgery involving microvascular transfer of bone and artery

ENTs, or otolaryngologists, work in partnership with other specialists to perform:

  • Skin cancer reconstruction
  • Access for transphenoid pituitary surgery
  • Trauma surgeries
  • Surgeries involving the endocrine system
