Power Up: Community Popup at Jackie Robinson Baseball League

In Person June 13 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Eppes Recreation Center/Thomas Foreman Park - 400 Nash Street, Greenville NC 27834
A patient speaks with a doctor during a cancer screening

This cancer screening session during a community popup event at the Jackie Robinson Baseball League Opening Day Ceremony will focus on colorectal, lung and skin cancers.

Cancer screening tests such as mammography, colonoscopy, and lung cancer screening are so important because they help us find cancer earlier, when it is easier to treat. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, health care systems across the country saw sharp declines in the number of people getting these tests. Now that there are protocols in place for COVID-19, Vidant Cancer Care is encouraging community members to resume cancer screenings. Power Up is a campaign across the Vidant Health system, including various screenings, events, and presentations to encourage community members to take care of their health, even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
