Volunteering at Vidant Duplin Hospital
Making A Difference Every Day
Volunteering is a way to give back to the community, using your unique abilities, knowledge and experience. It also can be a launching point for a young person's professional career. Volunteers are an integral part of Vidant Duplin Hospital. We offer meaningful opportunities for people of all ages.
Young adults, ages 14 and older, have an opportunity to work as junior volunteers. Students have the option of serving Monday through Friday in dietary services, the Gift Shop, human resources, our medical/surgical unit, physical therapy, radiology, the switchboard or the Women's Center.
Orientation for the Junior Volunteer Program is required and is offered at the beginning of summer. For more information, call 910-296-2603.
Adult volunteers are needed to help with light administrative duties, work in the hospital Gift Shop, serve the Emergency Department waiting room and assist in the Surgical Services waiting room.
Adult volunteers can enter the program at any time during the year. Please call 910-296-2629 for more information.
