Help protect yourself, your loved ones and your community.
Vidant Health is proud to serve eastern North Carolina during the COVID-19 pandemic. A dedicated COVID-19 drive-up testing site at the corner of Stantonsburg Road and Wellness Drive in Greenville is part of this effort. In addition to COVID-19 testing, Vidant encourages community members to receive a COVID-19 vaccine and continue to wear a mask to help protect themselves and their loved ones.
COVID-19 testing is covered through the CARES Act and currently there are no out-of-pocket costs to the public. Insurance is not needed for a COVID-19 test at the Greenville site, however, health care organizations must collect and submit insurance information for patients that have it, per the CARES Act.
The Greenville testing site’s hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Testing is also offered on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The testing site is not currently open on Saturday. Please note the gate to the testing site may close as early as 3 p.m. depending on capacity. Please expect delays and plan to arrive as early as possible.
Results are typically available in 1-2 days. Please wait at least 48 hours after you’ve been tested to call the COVID-19 Results Team Help Line (252-847-8000) which is available 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. seven days a week. Our goal is always to contact you first with the results, without the need for you to reach out. We do ask that you answer all calls as our results team uses mobile phones and the number will not show up as a Vidant number.
MyChart account users receive their results the quickest, since it is electronically connected into patient record systems. Online MyChart registration is available for adults 18 and older.
To help meet an ever-increasing demand, we are now pleased to offer pediatric, appointment-based COVID-19 testing to the communities we serve. If your child is sick or you’re concerned about an exposure to the virus, please call 252-816-3720 from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday to schedule an appointment. Visit the Maynard Children’s Hospital page for more information.
Contact your Vidant provider for information and to check for availability of COVID-19 testing in your area.
