Reconditioning Physical Therapy

Deconditioning is the loss of function in a certain part of the body when it is inactive due to an illness or injury. Reconditioning physical therapy is an individualized treatment program designed to return patients to their original core strength, endurance, flexibility, and mobility.

Physical reconditioning is usually provided as one-on-one fitness training and conditioning programs. It also often includes exercises for the patient to perform at home. It is often targeted towards getting a patient ready to return to work.
