Cyst Removal

Cysts are sac-like pockets of tissue that could contain fluid, air or other substances. They can form almost anywhere on or in your body. Some are so small that they are only visible under a microscope. Others grow very large and cause discomfort. There are hundreds of different types of cysts. Most cysts are benign, or non-cancerous.

Some cysts can be left alone with no medical treatment. Others will need to be removed. Sometimes the fluid can be drained by inserting a needle or catheter into the cyst cavity. This will cause the cyst to collapse. Cysts can also be surgically removed
