Barryx

Barryx is a non-invasive treatment option for people struggling with chronic heartburn or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

If you and your physician determine that a Barryx is right for you, here’s what you’ll experience: During a Barryx procedure, a clinician uses an endoscope (a tube with a light and camera attached) to look at the tissue of the esophageal lining. Using a sizing balloon, the technician measures the esophagus and then uses the Barryx device to remove abnormal tissue.

Usually performed on an outpatient basis, Barryx does require sedation. In addition to offering non-invasive treatment option, Barryx can also minimize your risk of developing esophageal cancer by destroying abnormal cells early and allowing new, healthy cells to grow.
