Stroke Community Resources

We're here to help you and your family if you've suffered a stroke. We also want to provide the community with education and screening for their stroke risk factors to help prevent a stroke from happening. You can contact our staff for any of the following:

You can start lowering your risk now by knowing your numbers for blood pressure and cholesterol. Vidant Medical Center offers screenings throughout the year where you can learn these numbers and how to lower them. If you’re interested in participating in a screening or want to have a screening at your organization, call 252-847-0571.

Members of the Vidant Medical Center staff are also available to speak at community events. To have a speaker come to your event, call 252-847-0571.

Support Group

The stroke support group at Vidant Medical Center provides socialization, support and education for people who have had a stroke and their families. This group meets the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Rehabilitation Center classroom. Call 252-847-0571 for more information about this group.
