East Carolina Endoscopy Center

Early Detection Is Everything

Because In Our Region, Medicaid Matters

The state’s Community Care Plan of North Carolina consists of 15 regional networks, and we’re one of them—East Carolina Endoscopy Center (CCPEC). So what is CCPEC? We’re a network of partners: doctors, facilities and community organizations striving to improve access to quality health care and see better health outcomes for people with Medicaid.

Am I eligible?
If you’re on Medicaid and you’re also enrolled in the Carolina ACCESS program (North Carolina's managed care program), you’re eligible for CCPEC. Contact your local Department of Social Services to learn more.

Providing you with the best care
We bring together medical and social service providers from eastern North Carolina to help provide you with quality health care. This may include:

  • Your doctor - He or she will take care of your general health needs and help arrange any necessary specialty services.
  • Your local hospital - Get inpatient and outpatient services close to home.
  • Department of Social Services - A social worker can answer your questions and help coordinate services.
  • Case Management - Some people, like those with a chronic disease, may benefit from having a case manager to help with appointments and medications.
  • Your local health department - This partner can help you get health services such as WIC (Women, Infants and Children), maternity care and health services for children.

CCPEC can help you get transportation, learn about diseases, make the most of the resources in your area and so much more.

Our mission and vision
Our mission is simple: to improve the health of people with Medicaid. How? By increasing the value of health care delivery within a medical setting—as well as coordinating care through a collaborative network of primary care physicians, case managers, hospitals, public health and social service agencies.

Our vision is a system of health care that promotes access for Medicaid patients in eastern North Carolina and results in the following:

  • Improved health status
  • Lower health care costs
  • Efficient delivery of health services
  • Effective use of health care resources

By coordinating care and increasing health education, we’re making a difference in the health and well-being of our region’s underinsured.
