Vidant Family Medicine – Greenville joins network of care

GREENVILLE – Vidant Medical Group continues to provide access to health care close to home with the addition of Vidant Family Medicine – Greenville. 

Formerly known as Medical Park Family Physicians, the new practice at 2450 Emerald Place in Greenville provides ambulatory care to those age 16 years and older.  

Drs. Lara K. Surles and Wilton C. Gay Jr. offer medical services ranging from urgent and acute care to chronic disease management, gynecological care, comprehensive physical exams (including sports and college exams), pre-operative evaluations, minor surgical procedures, immunizations and assorted diagnostic tests. 

Dr. Surles is board certified in geriatric medicine and family medicine. She is a graduate of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and performed her residency at Vidant Medical Center. 

“I am looking forward to becoming a part of Vidant Medical Group,” Surles said. “As Vidant Family Medicine – Greenville, we can continue to provide personal and professional medical care in a practice with a ‘small practice’ feel, yet we will have the much-needed connection with a regional health system, which will improve our efficiency and keep our practice armed with state-of-the-art technology and information systems. Dr. Gay is board certified in family medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a graduate of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and performed his residency at Vidant Medical Center. 

“My staff and I are pleased to become part of the Vidant Health team,” Gay said. “As Vidant Family Medicine – Greenville, we can expand the quality and scope of primary care in the area.”
