Vidant Health partners with Kohl’s, Pitt County to host Safe Kids Day

GREENVILLE— Nearly every hour of every year, a family experiences the loss of a child due to a preventable injury.  

To help prevent these injuries, Vidant Health is joining forces with Kohl’s, Safe Kids Pitt County, law enforcement, public safety agencies, WCTI Channel 12 and others to focus on children’s safety.

The first Kohl’s Safety Patrol Safe Kids Day will feature free child safety information and resources, give-aways, activities for children and fun for the whole family.

The event is sponsored by Safe Kids Worldwide, an organization that works with a network of more than 600 coalitions in the U.S. and other countries to reduce traffic injuries, drownings, falls, burns, poisonings and other causes of harm.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 18 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Kohl’s parking lot at 3501 Galleria Drive in Greenville. The public is invited to attend.
