New heart specialist joins Vidant Cardiology in Greenville

Greenville, N.C. – Dr. Christopher Karkut has joined Vidant Cardiology in Greenville as a non-invasive cardiologist.

Dr. Karkut identifies heart problems without the need to insert needles, fluids or instruments into the body. Instead he uses technology to aid in diagnosis.

Most of his training was here in Greenville, including medical school and residency in internal medicine at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. In addition, he completed a fellowship in cardiology at University of Buffalo in New York.

“I am excited to return to Greenville and take care of patients in eastern North Carolina,” Dr. Karkut said.
