Greenville, N.C. – Dr. Jasmin Jo has joined Vidant Cancer Care, offering expertise in neuro-oncology.

This new service marks a milestone for eastern North Carolina, providing additional care for cancers of the brain, spinal cord and nerves.

Dr. Jo completed neuro-oncology fellowships at University of Virginia and at the Harvard program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where she conducted clinical research studies involving patients with brain tumors. She began her education in the Philippines, where she earned her medical degree and completed her first neurology residency. She then came to the United States to pursue a second neurology residency at UVA.

“During my training, I humbly appreciated the courage and hope that my patients and their families have shown,” Dr. Jo said. “They inspire me to become the best that I can become as a neuro-oncologist.”

Her priority is to have a meaningful impact on her patients in eastern North Carolina and make significant contributions through clinical research. “I believe in the importance of the oncology team in providing excellent care and I’m proud to work with a very compassionate and dedicated group.”

Dr. Jo practices at Vidant Cancer Care, Eddie and Jo Allison Smith Tower, 524 Moye Boulevard in Greenville.
