New Chief of Staff named for Vidant Medical Center

Dr. Suzanne Kraemer has been named the Chief of Staff for Vidant Medical Center, effective Jan. 1, 2015. She will be replacing Dr. Gregory Murphy who has held the position for the last year. 

The Chief of Staff represents the medical staff and works directly with Vidant Medical Center president Brian Floyd and Vidant Health Interim CEO Janet Mullaney in all matters of mutual concern. The position is one-year appointment that rotates between private practice and ECU physicians. 

Dr. Kraemer graduated from Wright State University of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio as a member of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed a three-year Internal Medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin and served as a fourth year Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Kraemer is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is recognized as a fellow of the American College of Physicians. She is an active member of the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine, the North Carolina and Pitt County Medical Society, and the Society of General Internal Medicine.

Dr. Kraemer currently works as a clinical professor at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. She also serves as the program director of the internal medicine residency of The Brody School of Medicine and Vidant Medical Center. 

The Chief of Staff elect for Vidant Medical Center is Dr. Richard D'Alonzo with East Carolina Anesthesia Associates.
