In addition, three interventional cardiologists specialize in peripheral vascular interventions and interventional cardiology.

A spectrum of services are offered at locations across the region. Vidant patients are treated in state-of-the-art operating rooms and catheterization labs at the Vidant Heart & Vascular Center in Greenville. Patients also have access to vascular labs in Greenville and Roanoke Rapids and supervised walking programs for claudication and cardiac rehab in WilsonEdgecombeGreenvilleWashingtonEdenton and the Outer Banks.

“Our team of vascular specialists is focused on preventing peripheral vascular disease or halting its progression, preserving limbs and improving the quality of our patients’ lives,” said Dr. William Robinson, vascular surgeon with Vidant and ECU. “At Vidant we emphasize communication between physicians, keeping a patient’s care close to home and integration of services across locations when it is required. The patient’s needs are always at the center of what we do; that is our guiding principle.”

In addition to cutting edge procedures to restore, the Vidant Heart & Vascular team emphasizes prevention, optimal medical therapy, lifestyle changes and appropriate post-procedure therapy. Importantly, most of these services can be delivered close to home all over eastern North Carolina.
