Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services at Vidant Beaufort Hospital
Welcome to Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation at Vidant Beaufort Hospital! Our program is designed to get you moving in the right direction when it comes to your health.
Candidates for the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program include people who have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), such as emphysema, chronic bronchitis or asthma, or any other chronic lung disease which may cause shortness of breath or fatigue. Candidates for the Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Program include people who have coronary artery disease, chest pain or who have a history of heart attack or heart surgery.

What do the programs include?
The Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs at Vidant Beaufort Hospital include supervised exercise classes three times per week for up to 12 weeks, education on how to better manage pulmonary and cardiovascular diseases and control cardiovascular risk factors, strategies for improving breathing techniques, nutrition counseling, stress management, and more!
Our experienced team of specialists includes a medical director, registered nurse, registered respiratory care practitioner, exercise physiologist, registered dietician and a psychological associate; all of whom are licensed and certified in the state of North Carolina.
