Keeping You Safe

Vidant Health’s priority is the health and well-being of patients, families and team members. Vidant officials are closely monitoring COVID-19 and are aware of the North Carolina state of emergency announcement. Vidant has processes and protocols in place across our system to safely care for patients that may have infectious diseases and emergent viruses. We continue to follow recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.

As always, Vidant recommends that community members practice good hygiene by washing hands frequently, as well as coughing into sleeves. If you have a cough or flu-like symptoms and need to visit a Vidant facility for care, please wear a mask.

Importantly, there is a difference between COVID-19 and more common coronaviruses, which cause the winter cold. Vidant and other health systems safely treat these common, non-life-threatening coronavirus cases every year.
